CURE provides Medical-Dental Teams since 1994 to meet the physical and spiritual needs of people in developing countries (SHARING), is developing a digitally based "ACTION-ORIENTED" reality-like DVD Training Series to address contemporary challenges in the life of believers in the 21st Century (SHOWING), and is in the process of establishing the "CURE COUNSELING AND ASSESSMENT TRAINING CENTRE" (CARING).

At present, CURE International is targeting the Philippine Islands.

BIOGRAPHY -- Dr. C. Steven Shaffer, B.A., M.A, M.S., D. Min., Ph.D., Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor

Dr. C. Steven Shaffer was raised in a pastor’s home and came to faith at age 6. He was  called to preach at age 17, with a very unique calling. Dr. Shaffer has completed a Bachelors degree in Bible, a Masters degree in Christian Education, a Doctorate in Biblical Literature, a Master of Science degree in Professional Counseling at Georgia State University and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at Breyer State University.  Additionally, he has taken several graduate level classes in Leadership. 

Dr. Shaffer served in full-time pastoral ministry for a total of 17 years as an Assistant Pastor, Youth Pastor, College and Career Pastor, Young Married Pastor and Senior Pastor. Afterwards, he founded CURE International Ministries (formerly FRONTLINE Ministries) and traveled nationally and internationally for an additional 8 years. He had a full–time staff that provided ministry in many countries of the world. Dr. Shaffer has had the privilege of serving in 20 countries: building and establishing churches and Bible Schools, sponsoring Pastor/Teacher Seminars, coordinating various mission trips and teaching/preaching in Bible Schools, District Council sessions and in hundreds of churches throughout the nation. The medical mission teams have treated up to 10,000 people in one setting! Youth evangelism trips have provided opportunities to minister to as many as 50,000 people! Construction teams have built many churches, one with a seating capacity of 2,500 people! Prayer teams have walked the streets and prayed, breaking strongholds in the lives of people!

The Shaffer's have a total of 5 children and 5 grandchildren: Tara, 33 and married with 2 children, Jason, 30 who recently married, Tony, 28 and married with 1 child, Shanna, 26 and married with 2 children and finally, Tiffany, 23 and single.

The Shaffer’s love the Lord with and desire to fulfill God’s will in their lives. They now live in what they refer to as “a second choice world” and are serving the Lord in opportunities that He so graciously provides.  Dr. Shaffer desires to take his experiences both "good and bad" and find ways to help needy people and families.
